Paul George of the Los Angeles Clippers weighed in on the ongoing Steph Curry vs. Magic Johnson discussion on the most recent episode of Podcast P, presented by Wave Sports and Entertainment.
There has been much debate between the superstars of the Golden State Warriors and the Los Angeles Lakers over the past week, but George thinks both Stephen Curry and Magic Johnson have what it takes to become the greatest point guard of all time. “Nobody is wrong,” George declared. This is why all the debates are getting old.
Who, after all, will stand up and say, “He’s right”? However, in this case, neither party is in the wrong. Magic Johnson is the greatest player of all time because of what he accomplished during his time, with his size, with his ability to make plays, create, and read the court.
Alternatively, thanks to Steph Curry, we now have shooting guards in the point guard position. We can’t forget about Magic, the Greatest of All Time.
For the record, I think Steph Curry is the all-time great. George has always maintained his stance on the “GOAT” debate, saying that there can be more than one because of the incredible feats done by so many individuals. George thinks Curry and Magic both deserve to be considered among the greatest point guards of all time for the work they put in during their respective eras.
Although Curry and Magic are quite different players, they both accomplished their goals to an unprecedented degree.
