NBA star Jayson Tatum’s son’s cute thoughts on the future: I want to be Spider-Man

Deuce Tatum, Jayson’s kid, is five years old, and the Boston Celtics star just shared a hilarious story about him on social media.

Tatum disclosed that his son has changed his mind on Spider-Man after seeing the latest film.

Deuce remarked, “Daddy, I think I changed my mind.”

To paraphrase, “I might want to be Spider-Man when I grow up, but I still want to be you.”

Tatum joked, “Good save, son!” in response. Excellent stop!

Tatum had his son Deuce at age 19, not long after being picked by the Celtics, and Deuce has since become a fan favorite among Celtics teammates and in the NBA as a whole.

Tatum has named his kid Deuce his “best friend in the world” and he and his ex-girlfriend Toriah Lachell share custody of him.

In a June press conference, the NBA player discussed the significance of setting a good example as a father and the close relationship he shares with his son.

“My mindset was always that I was going to be the best father as I could as well as the best basketball player,” he said in an interview.

It was all about what came naturally; there was no rulebook or specific procedure.Because I was just 19 when I was picked, I am fortunate to spend a lot of time with him and feel as though I am maturing alongside him.

Now that he’s older, I’m progressing through my professional life, and we’re both growing up and experiencing the same things at the same time. That’s the best part, in my opinion.
