Rockets seek to trade Kevin Porter Jr.

Since Kevin Porter Jr. has been the subject of alarming allegations, the Rockets have been seeking to get rid of him.

Since Porter will earn a fully guaranteed $15.9 million this year, Charania claims the Rockets are on the market for a player under contract who can help them in 2023-24.

According to the prosecution, Gondrezick informed police that Porter repeatedly punched her in the face with a closed fist.

Judge Michael Ryan in Manhattan Criminal Court released Porter on $75,000 bail and issued a complete temporary restraining order against Gondrezick.

On October 16, Porter will next appear in court.

LeBron James, Stephen Curry among players who can gain exemption from NBA’s new rest policy

The NBA has long been a fascinating forum for discussions of load control. Since the NBA wants as many fans in the stands and in front of the screen as possible, it has recently announced a new rest policy in an effort to limit the number of games that star players miss. LeBron James is just one of many athletes who will benefit from the numerous loopholes in the vast new rules.

Anyone 35 or older, or who has played at least 34,000 minutes or 1,000 regular season and playoff games, will be eligible to acquire prior load management approval from the league in order to participate in the new policy’s provisions for players with extensive playing experience. The team will not be excused from the rules totally, but they will be allowed to sit out one game in a back-to-back set so long as they offer a valid reason at least a week in advance.LeBron James, who will turn 39 next season, has played in more than 1,700 games and is closing in on 67,000 minutes, so he easily falls into each of those categories. Not only does he meet the requirements, but so do many other famous people. Not only will James Harden, DeMar DeRozan, and Mike Conley benefit from this exception, but so will Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant, among many others.

Of course, not all of these athletes are significant offenders when it comes to load management, but it’s a fact that athletes lose motivation and strength as they age and become less able to play through pаin. LeBron James is one of the best players in the NBA, but at age 39, he has a little more reason to rest occasionally than many of his peers. This is only one of several oddities in the new regulation, which strikes a delicate balance between maximizing performance and minimizing harm, and giving as many fans as feasible access to the greatest possible viewing experience as often as possible.
