Kent Bazemore has played ten seasons in the NBA despite not being chosen until 2016.
In 39 games during the 2021-22 season, Bazemore averaged 3.4 points, 1.8 rebounds, 32.4% shooting from the field, and 36.3% from beyond the arc for the Los Angeles Lakers.
He’s a free agent, so any team in the league can sign him if they want.
The Golden State Warriors recently worked out a total of seven players, including Bazemore, according to information obtained by HoopsHype’s Michael Scotto on Wednesday.
Scotto writes on HoopsHype that the Warriors are still holding workouts for NBA veterans. According to HoopsHype’s sources in the NBA, recent participants have included ex-Warriors Kent Bazemore, Juan Toscano-Anderson, and Dewayne Dedmon, as well as free agents Will Barton, Jaylen Nowell, Stanley Johnson, and Derrick Favors.
Bazemore has played with the Atlanta Hawks, the Portland Trail Blazers, and the Sacramento Kings in addition to the Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Lakers.
In 657 regular season games (including 41 NBA playoff games), he has averaged 8.2 points, 3.2 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.0 steals while shooting 41.3% from the field and 35.6% from beyond the arc.
The Warriors finished last season with a 44-38 record, good for the sixth seed in the Western Conference.
They advanced beyond the first round of the NBA playoffs with a victory against the Sacramento Kings, but then were eliminated by the Los Angeles Lakers.
