Bayern Munich preparing to sign Man Utd star Erik ten Hag has been ‘managing out’ of club

Should Bayern Munich fail to sign Joao Palhinha in January, Scott McTominay has emerged as a possible replacement.

Palhinha, a midfielder for Fulham, saw a potential move to the German powerhouses fall through on transfer deadline day, but he has now signed a new contract with the club. When the transfer window reopens, Bayern has not ruled out making another offer for the Portuguese star.

However, they are looking into other options, and Manchester United’s McTominay is high on manager Thomas Tuchel’s want list. McTominay, who West Ham was interested in signing throughout the summer, has fallen far down the pecking order at Old Trafford since Sofyan Amrabat’s arrival.

Fulham considered him as a possible Palhinha replacement in the summer. This season, McTominay has played three times for United. Two of those appearances were quick substitute appearances, while Saturday’s 3-1 loss to Brighton was his first start of the season.

Tuchel hopes to extend an opportunity to play for another major European club. United signed the 26-times-capped Scotland ace from their academy in 2002.

He has made 212 appearances for the Old Trafford club since making his first team debut, scoring 19 times. Gary Neville, a former United great, reportedly stated that manager Erik ten Hag was trying to push McTominay out the door by limiting his playing time.

In the wake of Manchester United’s loss to Tottenham, he noted in his analysis that the team’s midfield needed to be strengthened. Ten Hag wants a number six to play with Casemiro, but the club can’t afford to sell any of its current players to pay for it. They need to pay for it if the first two weeks are any indication.

Ten Hag has made it abundantly obvious that he has no interest in going back to Scott McTominay. The midfield appears disorganized with Fernandes on the right, and the front three appears to lack the cohesion necessary to produce consistent оffensive results.

Is he reunited with McTominay? Ten Hag has utilized five other players instead of him. It’s as though he’s trying to manage him out of the team.
