‘Do whatever you want’

After Chelsea’s 1-1 draw with Bournemouth, Mauricio Pochettino addressed the booed home crowd

On Sunday, despite being heavy favorites to win the Premier League, Chelsea were held to a scoreless draw at the Vitality Stadium.

The Blues turned in a lackluster effort, missing on a number of high-quality scoring opportunities; Pochettino was harsh on his team’s fullbacks but laudatory toward the struggling star Mykhailo Mudryk.

Frustrated by their team’s lack of success thus far in the league, the away fans booed their players off the field as the final buzzer sounded. After the game, defender Axel Disasi explained to Premier League Productions that the team’s fans are “understandable” because they want them to win every game.

The Chelsea Football Club is a superb club with lofty goals. We must persevere; our combined efforts will ultimately bear fruit.

A little less empathetic when asked about the boos in his postgame press conference, Pochettino said that he and his team were doing the best they could under difficult conditions.Fans, he continued, “know if you invest the kind of money people create in the media, okay, it’s true, but this is expectation.” Fans’ displeasure is to be expected if their team doesn’t win. What I can tell the supporters, though, is that there is nothing they can do to alter the situation.

Too many key players are missing; when healthy, we’re an extremely potent unit. Under normal conditions, with everyone on the roster healthy, any team can compete for every trophy. This includes Manchester City and Arsenal.

Asking “Why are we special?” Why? For what reason is that? Unfortunately, not everyone on the team is available for the start of the season.

Can we do anything? Personally, I am speechless. The fans have complete freedom of action. We are confident in ourselves, and we know what we need to do.Our luck has been terrible. Twelve people were hurt today, in addition to Noni Madueke, Marc Cucurella, and Moises Caicedo. Then, we have two goalies and three or four young players on the bench.

The question “Okay, am I going to cry, am I going to complain?” I have to take this as a challenge and have an optimistic outlook. Bournemouth is, of course, a strong squad that will pose a challenge.

Every squad is going to be tough and competitive. We must be optimistic and patient regardless of how just or unjust the situation may seem.We will continue doing things the way we always have, because that is our reality and our opinion. As a group, we evaluate how well we are performing and conclude that we are exceeding expectations.

However, Chelsea is expected to win. I warned you before the season started that winning is everything at Chelsea. We’re making history here, so we have to have faith; these young men have to experience what it’s like to play for Chelsea and, of course, in the Premier League.

Football is all about feeling, so I get the sentiment. If the feeling was disappointment at having come up short, that’s understandable. It ends here. On Sunday, the supporters will undoubtedly rally behind the team in support throughout the match against Aston Villa.
