The midfielder has played in each of the season’s opening five games and even scored a significant goal last weekend against Real Sociedad.
Valverde appears to have been playing for Real Madrid over the previous few weeks despite having a hand ailment.
Valverde acknowledges hand injury
The Real Madrid star has now acknowledged that he has been struggling with a hand ailment for more than two weeks.

Given the variety of midfield options Carlo Ancelotti possesses, it is understandable to assume that Valverde will receive a break in the upcoming weeks due to his hand injury.
However, Valverde is now playing without any issues. The midfielder is still experiencing pain in his right hand, but he is able to play through it.
The Uruguayan international may so continue to play for Real Madrid in the coming weeks.
That being said, it won’t be shocking to see him have a break when Real Madrid begins their Champions League campaign this coming midweek.
