Burnley are hoping to extend Manchester United’s miserable season, and Vincent Kompany has sent a warning to Erik ten Hag

If Manchester United are defeated by Burnley on Saturday night, Erik ten Hag has been cautioned that he will be placed in a “crisis” situation at the club.

After returning from Munich on Wednesday, where they suffered a 4-3 loss to Bayern in the Champions League, United are currently mired in the midst of a losing streak that has seen them drop their last three matches. The defeat came after Ten Hag had suffered 3-1 setbacks against Arsenal and Brighton in the Premier League, which have increased the amount of pressure that he is under.

Since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took over as manager of the club more than four years ago, the team had not had a losing streak of three matches in a succession. The team coached by Ten Hag has lost their last five matches, allowing a total of 14 goals, and injuries have severely limited their ability to pick players.

This coming weekend, Manchester United will play Burnley at Turf Moor, and Burnley manager Vincent Kompany is looking to increase the amount of pressure that is placed on the shoulders of United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. “I have been in large clubs where they have lost a couple of customers, and the strain can really build up. “The field is where our attention is right now,” Kompany remarked.

We’ve played three games against teams that are now ranked in the top eight in this league. I have a lot of faith in the attacking potential that we have, and I’m really looking forward to this game so that I can find out if we’ve been able to take those necessary strides ahead.

We are not occupied with what is going on with the other team at this time. It is irrelevant to our concerns. My responsibilities include managing both our team and our performances. We are a quiet camp, but we know there’s something spectacular in store for us in the near future, and we want to capitalize on that momentum.

“What is taking place in other places is not really any of our business. It’s not only United, but every other big club as well; there’s always the potential for things to spiral out of control after just one loss. Being a manager in one setting is not dissimilar to being a manager in another environment. You will perpetually require time in order to adjust and make progress. It’s not only for Erik ten Hag; it’s for all of us, and this manager has shown that he is incredibly skilled in many different ways. There is not the slightest shred of doubt in that.”

United is currently in 13th place in the Premier League standings because they have only won two of their five league games played so far this season. They do not have Jadon Sancho, who was kicked out of the first-team squad for disciplinary reasons, and Antony, who has been advised to remain away while he defends himself against claims of physicalagainst an ex-girlfriend. Both of these situations were the result of disciplinary actions taken by the club.

Raphael Varane, Luke Shaw, Tyrell Malacia, Mason Mount, and Aaron Wan-Bissaka are among the key players that they are without at the moment. Burnley is now in 19th place with one point, but they might be optimistic about their chances against a United team that has been struggling recently.
