In a recent interview, Lionel Messi launched yet another jab at Paris Saint-Germain. The 36-year-old points out that he was the only member of the team that won the FIFA World Cup in 2022 who did not receive praise from his club.
Frank Leboeuf, an ESPN FC analyst from France, was perplexed as to why the Argentinean wanted PSG to honor him at the Parc des Princes. Given that Argentina defeated France, even Messi acknowledged in his comment that making a public gesture would be inappropriate.
Leboeuf stated on ESPN FC on Thursday that it was humorous since the man responded to his remark. Of course, as an Argentine, you know, he won’t be welcomed if we defeat France in the World Cup final. The reverse should be done.
“Any player, French player Mbappe included, will be burned alive if he wins the World Cup while representing France against Argentina. So let’s face it, that is only fair. I’m not even sure why he’s whining… But for what do you hope to be recognized? You defeated the nation in which you competed.
Furthermore, it’s untrue to imply that the capital club did nothing because PSG did acknowledge Messi’s accomplishment at a training session. The seven-time Ballon d’Or winner probably has a more petty side than his most recent comments.
The 2022 World Cup champion should disregard the French team and concentrate on his career with Inter Miami. Perhaps he can go back to this chapter after time has healed all wounds. All of these swipes feel superfluous.
