Repоrts sаy thаt Sergiо Reguilоn’s eаrly plаy fоr Mаnchester United hаs substаntiаlly increаsed the likelihооd thаt he will eаrn а permаnent mоve tо оld Trаffоrd next summer.
Just before the summer transfer window closed, the Spanish player made a loan move to the Red Devils from Tottenham Hotspur.
Although Reguilon wasn’t originally on Man United’s radar this summer, injuries to Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia necessitated a new left defender.
Reguilon is presently the first-choice left-back at Old Trafford as both Shaw and Malacia are scheduled to remain sidelined until at least November.
The 26-year-old made his Premier League debut last weekend against Brighton & Hove Albion and then played the full 90 minutes of Tuesday’s 4-3 loss to Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
On Saturday, he started again against Burnley and played well, but he was injured and had to leave the game at Turf Moor before it was through.
After the game, Man United head coach Erik ten Hag praised Reguilon’s spirit despite the fact that the defender had been a huge matchday doubt owing to illness.

After the game, though, Ten Hag said, “Reguilon was ill,” according to TNT Sports. That says a lot about the person’s character and the kind of person they are. He was sick but yet eager to play so that he could cheer on his team and do his part.
‘AS claims that Reguilon’s early performances have helped him ‘quickly gain weight’ with the club’s senior executives, who have also been impressed by his professionalism.
According to the report, the defender has a good chance of earning a permanent transfer to Old Trafford if he continues to contribute in the coming months.
Malacia’s future would be in jeopardy if he made a permanent move to Old Trafford, since Shaw is certain to remain at the club as a key player after signing a new long-term contract earlier this year.
Reguilon’s contract with Tottenham only has a year and a half left, and it appears that new head coach Ange Postecoglou has no plans to keep him around.
After beginning his professional career with Real Madrid, the defender has made 67 appearances for that team. He was on loan at Atletico Madrid for the 2017–18 season before making his way back to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
