When Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins scored to give them a 1-0 victory, Chelsea player Levi Colwill was seen losing his cool with a teammate.
After Chelsea’s match against Aston Villa ended with a goal conceded, Thiago Silva and defender Levi Colwill were seen exchanging furious words. After Ollie Watkins scored from a difficult angle to give his team a 1-0 victory over the Blues, the 21-year-old was seen yelling at the Brazilian.
Colwill blocked Watkins’ initial attempt, but the striker was given another chance and scored on his second try.
Some Twitter users asserted that Colwill’s annoyance was directed at goalie Robert Sanchez rather than Silva.
The small child was also observed becoming angry at other times. According to Football.London, the assistant referee was heard yelling after the linesman signaled for Villa and the away team was given a throw-in.
The incident, as shared on X by user NS_Genesio, is as follows:
Fans and players alike were visibly frustrated as Chelsea’s terrible season start persisted. The Blues are now ranked 14th in the Premier League after managing just one victory in their first six games.
