Chris Paul Plays His First Game for the Warriors, and Steve Kerr Has Reactions

Chris Paul’s debut with the Warriors was exciting for both him and the team’s loyal fan base in the Bay Area.

Paul played 13 minutes in a preseason game against the Lakers and finished with six points, five assists, and four rebounds.

Steve Kerr, coach of the Golden State Warriors, was impressed.

Kerr gushed about Chris Paul in the postgame press conference, calling him “amazing.” He makes everything so simple. What a fantastic passer he is. As a coach, you may enjoy the game since it moves quickly and you can assume that he will make the correct decision each time.

Given how well he fit in with the Warriors’ small-ball group that also featured Steph Curry and Klay Thompson, it’s possible that Paul won’t need too much time to adjust to his new team and their tactics.

Kerr gushed about Paul’s abilities as a game manager and expressed relief that they were “finally” collaborating.

“He understands when we need to pull it back and get into an action or play faster because he understands the rhythm of the game,” Kerr said to the media. “Okay, so Chris is superhuman. It’s great to have him on our side at last.

While it may take some time for NBA fans to adjust to seeing CP3 in a Warriors uniform, CP3 and Steph appeared to be as close as ever.

During the first half, Curry and Paul couldn’t stop giggling as young star Jonathan Kuminga mistakenly passed to Steph on the sideline.

Despite their shared sense of humor, Kuminga is excited to work on his chemistry with 19-year veteran Paul and fellow newcomer Rudy Gаy.

Throughout his career, Kuminga hopes to have the support of his friends and family. “I’m trying to create that relationship that can stay forever,” he stated. And so far, I feel like it’s been working to have Rudy and CP telling me that I need to do this, that this is what I need to do to get better. CP has been in the league for 19 years, and Rudy is in his 18th. Just listening to and learning from them every day has been invaluable.
