ANTA Signs Donte DiVincenzo to a Sneaker Contract

NBA shooting guard Donte DiVincenzo has had quite a tumultuous few months. The Knicks and the 26-year-old player settled on a four-year, $50 million contract in July. Now, DiVincenzo joins the company’s roster of NBA athletes who have signed sneaker endorsement deals.

Nick DePaula of Boardroom reports that DiVincenzo’s player-exclusive colorways of the ZAP 1 will be the line’s main attraction. Since being selected seventeenth overall in the 2018 NBA Draft, DiVincenzo has worn Nike sneakers. But in the second half of the season, DiVincenzo switched to PUMA court gear.

ANTA officially made the news public with a slick social media video showcasing DiVincenzo’s work. To the extent that you feel like ANTA has made significant headway in the North American basketball sneaker market, you would not be wrong.

NBA stars like Klay Thompson of the Golden State Warriors and Gordon Hayward of the Charlotte Hornets have been brand ambassadors for many years. Kyrie Irving, guard for the Dallas Mavericks, signed a five-year contract with ANTA in June 2023, catapulting the company to new heights.

A signature sneaker line and the title of Chief Creative Officer at ANTA Basketball were part of Irving’s contract. Utah Jazz player Jordan Clarkson secured a short-term sneaker agreement with ANTA shortly after the news was made in preparation for the 2023 FIBA World Cup.
