As Iguodala put it, “it’s just the right time,” Andscape reported. I didn’t want to have to throw anything in the trunk because time was running out.

I didn’t want to spend any more effort trying to allocate people’s time. Especially with the time spent with loved ones, both on and off the court. A lot.

So, you’re aiming for some serious competition. But yet, family is everything. The youngest of my three children is 16 years old; the other two are daughters. I’m looking forward to being a witness to their formative years.

Iguodala helped the Warriors win the NBA Championship in 2015, 2017, 2018, and 2022.

Warriors owner Joe Lacob said the team would retire Iguodala’s No. 9 jersey when he announced his retirement.

While on the subject, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr called Iguodala “an absolute winner.”

Cоngrаtulаtiоns tо аndre оn а Hаll оf Fаme cаreer well plаyed,” Kerr sаid in а stаtement.

He was one of the most interesting players I’ve ever seen because he had superb intelligence and exceptional physical ability.

An unqualified triumph. Coaching him was a privilege.

In game four of the 2015 NBA Finals, with the Warriors behind the LeBron James–led Cleveland Cavaliers 2-1, the Warriors made the decision to insert Andre Iguodala into the starting lineup.

With 22 points, he guided the team to a 103–82 victory and tied the series.

Iguodala became the first player in NBA Finals history to be selected Finals MVP without appearing in every game of the series. The Warriors went on to win the series 4 games to 2.

Iguodala was drafted into the NBA by the Philadelphia 76ers with the ninth overall pick in 2004.

He departed the Sixers in 2012 to play for Denver for a year before signing with the Warriors in 2013. He spent the next six years with the Warriors.

He spent 2020 with the Heat but returned to the Warriors the following year, where he won an NBA title the following year (2022).

Iguodala won a gold medal with the dominant United States basketball team in London in 2012. He averaged 11.3 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 4.2 assists in 1,231 games.
