LeBron James is uninspired heading into the season opener against the trash-talking Nuggets

LeBron James, star of the Los Angeles Lakers, addressed the media on the eve of their season opening on the road against the Denver Nuggets on Tuesday, saying that he is not motivated by playing the team that eliminated them from the Western Conference Finals a year ago.

James, 38, said that facing a particular team or player no longer inspired him to play well, and that he now must get his motivation from within himself.

“I don’t get motivated against [who] the opponents [are] pretty much anymore,” stated James. I don’t require it. I wouldn’t want to give the impression that I lack motivation to play since I enjoy challenging myself against the finest players in the world.

But I can motivate myself, therefore I don’t need someone else to accomplish it. My drive comes from within. Yes, I am adequate.

The Nuggets hаve been engаged in а seаsоn-lоng cаmpаign оf trаsh tаlking аgаinst the Lаkers, which begаn in the plаyоffs оf the previоus yeаr аnd hаs been led by heаd cоаch Michаel Mаlоne.

Malone, 52, lashed out at the media on many occasions for failing to give the Nuggets their due despite their NBA championship victory.

James responded multiple times as well, but it appears that he has moved on from his feud with the Nuggets from the previous year.
