A left ankle sprain occurred during a non-competitive game at Chase Center. Only one week had passed since this regrettable incident and the Warriors were scheduled to start training camp. Officials from the club estimated that Green would need four to six weeks to heal at that point.
Green had been attending practices, including a full session this past Sunday, despite missing all of the preseason games. As far as his health goes, Green said, “I feel good, but I’m not completely myself yet.”
The management of the squad chose to err on the side of caution. Green hasn’t been cleared to play in a real game, despite taking part in Monday’s controlled scrimmage and team practice. There is currently no set date for his return to the season.
