On opening night against the Phoenix Suns, how many 3-pointers did Stephen Curry make?

The moment ‘Stephen Curry’s 3-point shots’ in the opening match against the Phoenix Suns.

The 2023–2024 NBA season was finally underway for Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors when they took on Kevin Durant and the Phoenix Suns. The basketball community, which hasn’t seen much elite play in recent months, was looking forward to this matchup between former comrades.

In addition to making other personnel adjustments, the Warriors advanced as far as the Suns did in the previous campaign. Even yet, when facing skilled opponents, Steph’s shooting remаins GSW’s greatest weapon. Curry had a respectable performance, but his team ultimately fell short against the Suns at home.

There isn’t much of a problem with beginning the season with a loss because there are 82 games in it. Fans should undoubtedly be curious about Steph’s individual performance and the number of three-pointers he was able to make. It is possible that some fans were unable to view the game. Having said that, let’s examine Curry’s performance in more detail in the Golden State Warriors’ season opening.

On the first night, Stephen Curry made four three-pointers.

Curry appeared to be a little rusty and not in peak form when shooting from three points. Steph attempted 14 three-pointers in his season-opening game and made four of them. This makes some sense, given the manner he is guarded for the most of the game.

Steph managed to get scores on the inside while having trouble making his three-point shots, and he ended the game with 27 points and 5 rebounds. Devin Booker and Kevin Durant led the Suns to victory with a final score of 108-104, but this was insufficient to stop them.

The fact that Steph had a bad night from the three-point line cannot be ignored. After all, 4 of 14 efforts made from the three-point line is only 28.6% of the total. Given his career average of 42.7%, Curry seldom shoots the ball from the three-point line this poorly.

Even though Steph finishes the game with some impressive stats, he must be unhappy because he missed a handful of his three-pointers. His side could have been able to win this game if he had made just a few of them.

Fortunately, he will get another chance to prove himself when the Warriors play the Sacramento Kings in their next game.
