Stephen Curry Champions collaborates with Rakuten Partnership in a new fashion style – Shine Light on Amazing Talent

It is a pleasure to collaborate with @Rakuten and the @Blackinfashioncouncil during the basketball season in order to further provide underrepresented designers with a more extensive platform to exhibit their amazing creations. Paul Richards, also known as @pierreblancstudio, provided you last night’s workout. Luxuriance and casual wear are two elements that his work integrates that make a difference.

Stephen Curry is teaming up with Rakuten to amplify Black fashion designers during the 2024 NBA season.

We’re going to keep expanding the platform for underrepresented designers during this basketball season. Paul Richards, alias Pierre Blanc Studio, provided you last night’s fit.

On October 24, the NBA player will debut his new partnership with Rakuten at the Warriors’ opening game against the Phoenix Suns.

In order to highlight Black fashion designers during the 2024 NBA season, Stephen Curry has partnered with Rakuten.

Curry, 35, will hold talks with designers who are represented by the Black In Fashion Council as a result of the alliance. In order to promote their businesses and destinations, he would also dress in their ensembles during tunnel treks. Curry is working with a number of labels, including Advisry, Des Pierrot, Head of State, Pierre Blanc, and Savant Studios.

The Golden State Warriors point guard told PEOPLE that he is eager to use his position to promote the work that these designers are producing in the fashion industry.

Curry exclusively tells PEOPLE, “It’s an awesome way to create representation in a field that needs it.” “While I’m not a fashion designer or billionaire, I am aware that there are innovative methods to highlight some truly remarkable talent. I can’t wait for the world to witness these designers on a larger platform.”

“I’ve met most of the designers for the first time. I listened to their tales of how they entered the field and what motivates them and their brands. When I personally met Paul Richards, Keith Herron, and Des Pierre, I could see how excited they were about working on this project together,” Curry says.

He continues: “You’ll be able to see me wear their looks on the tunnel walks and then you’ll be able to shop their looks through Rakuten’s services.”

On October 24, during the tunnel walk before the Warriors’ opening-night game against the Phoenix Suns, Curry will debut the partnership’s initial design, created by Pierre Blanc.

Customers can purchаse things from each of the designers’ current collections as well as components from the look on Rakuten.com starting on October 25. Each month, as Curry’s looks are revealed, new pieces will be added.

“With the platform I have I also have the blessings to extend reach across the world…and find creative ways to elevate people who need support and deserve support, resources and attention,” Curry asserts.

The four-time NBA champion continues, saying that he would use the terms “comfortable, casual, and versatile” to sum up his game-day attire.

He says that the two-piece wool suit he wore for the Christmas Day game last year is his favorite outfit to wear on a tunnel walk. The outfit included black Celine lace-up boots and a black turtleneck to go with the suit.

“I need to be comfortable traveling and be able to get in and out of where I’m going,” Curry stated. “Then I usually wear stuff that I could wear to multiple different events, or venues, or for different reasons.”

Curry enjoys wearing athleisure both at home on his couch and on the court.

“I’ll be quite casual and most likely wearing a hoodie on a day when I might not leave the house. You’ll probably see me wearing a sweatshirt no matter how cold it gets,” he says.

“But then I can turn it up,” he continues. You’ve probably seen me in a number of my powerful, diverse roles. It’s enjoyable for me because I enjoy being challenged in a variety of fashion-related ways, and my tastes have changed over time.”
