The Celtics have started the seasоn with three cоnsecutive victоries, beating the New Yоrk Knicks, the Miami Heat, and the Washingtоn Wizards. The C’s wоn twо hard-fоught games against New Yоrk and Miami by pulling away dоwn the stretch, and then they blew оut the Wizards оn Mоnday tо keep their spоtless recоrd intact.

Both Jayson Tatum (who scored 34 points in the season opener at Madison Square Garden) and Derrick White (who scored 28 points and blocked three shots in Friday’s home opener against the Heat) were instrumental in the victories.

Both Tatum and White, who were mic’d up for their respective first games, produced amusing content. Tatum for Game 1 in New York and White for his big night in Miami. Watch a summary of the main points in the embedded video player above.

In New York, Tatum teases his new teammate Jrue Holiday, pointing out that Holiday, at age 33, once faced off against the now-retired Tracy McGrady.

You competed with T-Mac, huh? You and T-Mac squared off in a game, and now you’re on my team. Tatum teased Holiday about how old she was.

After making crucial plays in the final minutes of Boston’s game against Miami, the usually subdued White let out a few wild shouts. Although he was sitting on the bench, White was still actively encouraging his squad. We have to come out on top in the trenches! Come on!” — a hint that he has settled into his job with the Celtics since being traded to the team in February 2022.

As one of the finest teams in basketball, the Celtics will be under intense scrutiny all season, but if the first three games are any indication, it should be an exciting ride.
