The star of the LA Lakers possesses multiple breathtaking residences
LeBron James holds the title of NBA’s all-time leading scorer and made headlines last year when he reportedly agreed to a groundbreaking two-year, $97.1 million contract extension with LA Lakers, marked as the highest paid player in NBA history.
The current basketball superstar, now considered a legend of this sport, is widely believed to possess a substantial fortune. LeBron has invested in real estate, comprising a sizable property portfolio valued at a total of $103.9 million. Let’s explore how grand his residences are.
Beverly Hills mansion
In 2020, LeBron made his latest real estate acquisition by purchasing a sprawling Beverly Hills mansion spanning 13,000 square feet, comprised of at least four structures, for $36.8 million. Previously owned by Katharine Hepburn, LeBron acquired the property from its most recent owners, Bill and Lee Phillip Bell, renowned for co-creating soap operas such as The Bold and the Beautiful and The Young and the Restless.
Additionally, the mansion features a spacious motor court to accommodate his numerous cars, along with four bedrooms, eight bathrooms, vaulted ceilings, a screening room, seven fireplaces, and entire walls of glass sliders to ensure seamless indoor-outdoor connectivity.
The first Brentwood Mansion
LeBron possesses two properties in the Los Angeles suburb of Brentwood. One, purchased in 2017 for $24.5 million, seems to serve as his primary residence and frequently appears on his Instagram. Constructed in the same year, this home exudes a modern ambiance with marble finishes adorning nearly every room.
Spanning just shy of 16,000 square feet, it encompasses eight bedrooms and 11 bathrooms. Similar to his Beverly Hills abode, this property boasts an indoor-outdoor flow, facilitated by floor-to-ceiling windows, connecting the main living spaces with the expansive garden. Additionally, one of the main living rooms features full sliding glass doors.
The residence boasts a plethora of upscale amenities, including a wine cellar, a game room equipped with a pool table, a home theater, and a cigar room featuring air-purifying technology. Furthermore, it features a fully furnished gym, seamlessly blending indoor and outdoor spaces.
The gym area is directly connected to a spa, complete with a steam room, shower, sauna, and massage room. Additionally, an elevator provides access to the rooftop terrace, offering breathtaking views of the surroundings.
Outside, there’s a large pool and another spa, both conveniently located near the outdoor kitchen, which is equipped with a barbecue and beverages tap. Covered patios with marble floors provide ample space for relaxation, along with a spacious dining area.
The second Brentwood Mansion
In 2015, LeBron acquired a 9,440-square-foot colonial mansion in the Brentwood area for $21 million. The stone and white brick residence comprises six bedrooms and seven bathrooms, yet it purportedly remained vacant for the most part.
Internally, the mansion boasts a double-height foyer, a breakfast nook with ample natural light streaming through the windows, and a modern kitchen equipped with state-of-the-art appliances. Additionally, there’s a wood-paneled office and a home gym within the premises. The master suite of the mansion features a two-way fireplace, a private sitting room, and a terrace. Outside, there’s another impressive swimming pool, an open-air cabana, a three-car garage, and a basketball court.
LeBron sold the house in 2021 for $19.6 million, slightly below the original asking price of $20.5 million.
Ohio mansion
LeBron’s initial significant real estate investment dates back to 2003 when he signed with the Cleveland Cavaliers. He bought a property in Bath Township, just northwest of Akron, for $2.1 million. Over the years, he has developed a 30,000-square-foot mansion on the seven-acre land.
This expansive residence comprises six bedrooms, with the master suite featuring a two-story walk-in closet, along with eight bathrooms and six half bathrooms. For entertainment purposes, there’s a two-lane bowling alley, a home theater, and a sports bar. Additionally, amenities include a recording studio, an aquarium, and a barbershop.
LeBron still retains ownership of the property, but following extensive renovations, its current estimated worth stands at around $9.2 million.
Miami mansion
In 2010, LeBron purchased a custom-built, three-story mansion in Coconut Grove, Florida, for $9 million after departing from the Cavaliers to join the Miami Heat.
He later sold his Miami residence in 2015 for $13.4 million. During his ownership, he enjoyed amenities such as an eight-seat home theater, a wine cellar, a backyard pool area, and a private waterside balcony attached to the primary suite.
